Microsoft 'photo-shop' out black man

Microsoft have been caught up in a race-row after an advert for one their products was photoshopped, removing a black man's face.

The advert, when featured on Microsoft's American site, features three people sitting in a board using the product - a white woman, an Asian man and a black man.

However, on the company's Polish site, the black man's head has been removed and replaced with a white man's. Strangely, his hand is still black...

The advert was quickly picked up by Twitter and bloggers and it wasn't long before Microsoft received all kinds of condemnation.

Of course, the Internet being the Internet, it wasn't long before bloggers posted their own theories on the gaffe. One on the Photoshop Disaster blog theorised,

"The white head and black hand actually symbolise interracial harmony. It is supposed to show that a person can be white and black, old and young at the same time."

Microsoft quickly responded, removing the image off the website before a spokesman stated,

"Diversity and inclusion are core values and business imperatives of Microsoft, and we apologise for any offence that might have been taken."

They did not give any explanation for why the photo had been changed in the first place.
